Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients facing cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, or similar life-threatening situations.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Recognize and manage respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or immediate post-cardiac arrest care.
- Respond with the appropriate life support algorithm upon recognition of the specific needs of the patient in an acute life-threatening situation.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the types and dosages of medications commonly used in BLS, ACLS, and PALS care.
- Execute efficient communication and performance methods working as a member within, or a team leader of, a resuscitation team.
- Employ competence in Basic Life Support (BLS) care, including proper administration of CPR and proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Provide appropriate care and counsel for patients and their families.

Do you offer accredited CME credits with your courses?
Yes, the credit we offer is provided through our partnership with the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM). PIM is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
What do I receive as proof of my CME?
You will receive a CME Certificate of Completion that corresponds with your course. CME Certificates are issued through CME University upon completing an ACLS, PALS, or BLS course.
How do I get my CME Certificate once I have completed a course?
Upon completing one of our courses, you will be given instructions for redeeming your CME through CME University. If you have not used CME University before completing your eMedCert course, you must create a new account. To receive your CME Certificate, you must complete a short post-course assessment. Once you have completed your assessment, you can download a digital copy of your CME Certificate of Completion.

Will I receive a CME Certificate in the mail with my Provider Card?
You will not receive a physical copy of your CME Certificate with your physical Provider Card. All CME Certificates are issued through CME University and will be available only in a downloadable digital format. However, you can download additional copies immediately or in the future should you misplace your CME Certificate.
