We are awed by the healthcare workers worldwide on the front lines fighting the coronavirus outbreak and hope to further their efforts by helping others in need.
As people across the globe continue to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, one thing is for certain: we need each other now more than ever. These are unprecedented times, and unprecedented times call for incomparable compassion.
With the amount of physical and emotional destruction caused by this outbreak, we believe we have a moral obligation to provide support to those among us most vulnerable. This belief is strengthened by the relief efforts we have witnessed these past few weeks from healthcare professionals around the globe. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with these individuals on a daily basis and are blown away by the altruism and leadership they have shown.
We admire the doctors who are tirelessly going above and beyond the call of duty to treat us at our weakest moment. We are moved by the nurses, the heart and soul of this battle, who consistently put us and ours above their own. These people are the true heroes of this fight, and they have inspired us to follow their lead.
That is why eMedCert is happy to announce that for every course purchased, we will donate 25 meals to Feeding America to help feed children affected by school closures.
Thousands of American children rely on the meals provided by their school cafeterias. With the closures, many have lost one of the only stable sources of food they were able to depend on. Thankfully, Feeding America offers the opportunity to be a minor stopgap by helping put meals on tables. With your help, we look forward to joining their efforts and hope to donate tens of thousands of meals to hungry children across the country.
We must rally together in times of grief and turmoil. We must stand united for the welfare of humanity. Each and every one of us is capable of stepping up and making a difference, even if that simply means staying at home and practicing social distancing. However, we must also acknowledge the fact that there are people among us who do not have the luxury of being in a position where they can work from home. There are people who can have their entire lives turned upside down by an unexpected $200 bill, and already millions who have lost their job entirely.
As widespread panic levels increase, it is only natural to turn your attention to your own well-being, but we must choose compassion over fear. There will be a world after COVID-19, and we cannot turn our backs on those in danger of being left behind.
It is moments like these that show our true colors. While our colleagues risk their lives leading from the front, we want to show our appreciation by standing alongside them and doing our part to help in any way we can.
