The amount of continuing medical education credit you can receive for getting your ACLS Certification.
One benefit of getting your online ACLS Certification is the added value of receiving continuing medical education (CME) (sometimes referred to as continuing education (CE)) credits. These days, most reputable online ACLS providers offer CME credits upon successfully completing an ACLS Certification or Recertification course, which leaves little reason to choose a program that does not award any CME credits.
The amount and type of CME credits and CE contact hours you receive can vary slightly between different providers. This should be one of the many factors you should take into consideration when choosing which online ACLS course is right for you.
At eMedCert, we offer ACCME-accredited CME through our joint partnership with the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM). Our courses are in accordance with the policies and requirements for the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Dental Association (ADA). In addition, eMedCert is an approved provider of continuing education per the California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN) (CE credits are accepted nationwide, not just in California).
We are proud to offer the following CME credits for successfully completing our ACLS Certification or ACLS Recertification courses:
ACLS Certification: 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)
ACLS Recertification: 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)
