“Can I really sign up right now and be certified within a few hours?”
This is a question we get all the time. Anyone who has had to complete an in-person ACLS Recertification course knows the struggle of having to sign up weeks in advance for a course that will take 2 full days to complete. So it can be a welcoming surprise to hear that the answer is, “Yes – you really can.”
For those eligible to complete your ACLS requirements online, you no longer have to plan ahead or rework your entire schedule around your ACLS course. ACLS online courses are never booked to capacity, and you can complete them on your schedule.
How much time, exactly? Well, that depends on a few things. Because these courses are self-guided and provide the flexibility to spend as much, or as little, time as you want, completion times for online ACLS courses can vary.
The biggest determining factor is how well you already understand the material. Individuals who have completed several ACLS courses over the years and are well acclimated with the information are capable of breezing through the course and exam relatively quickly. On the other hand, those not as familiar with the information will need to dedicate more time to studying, which adds to the overall duration of the course.
The final exams are composed entirely of multiple-choice and true/false questions. The ACLS Recertification exam is made up of 40 questions.
In general, if you already possess a solid understanding of the material and simply need to get recertified, our online ACLS Recertification course will likely take 1-2 hours. If you are not as comfortable with your current ACLS knowledge and would like to spend more time learning or refreshing your memory, it will likely take around 4-5 hours.
